Primary Responsibilities & Attitude
 
Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this role will be responsible for defining and leading Odyssey’s brand strategy across North America. This role will ensure our brand is consistently expressed across all channels and markets, with a strong emphasis on building credibility in the U.S. while reinforcing our reputation as an industry leader in Canada.
This is a highly visible role that requires the ability to translate complex business priorities into compelling brand programs, drive measurable impact, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
 
 Brand Strategy & Market Positioning
  • Define Odyssey’s brand strategy across Canada and the U.S., aligning with growth objectives and market priorities.
  • Develop and evolve brand positioning, messaging architecture, and visual identity to ensure market relevance and differentiation.
  • Build Odyssey’s U.S. brand foundation to establish awareness and credibility with issuers, advisors, and law firms.
 
Thought Leadership & Market Presence
  • Lead public relations, media, and executive visibility initiatives to amplify Odyssey’s reputation.
  • Develop and activate sponsorships, partnerships, and co-marketing programs with law firms, fintechs, and exchanges.
  • Create case studies, client testimonials, and thought leadership content to showcase Odyssey’s innovation and client impact.
  • Continuous learner with a strong passion for evolving markets and emerging trends.
 
Campaign Development & Brand Activation
  • Design and oversee integrated brand campaigns across digital, events, and media.
  • Ensure brand consistency including sales enablement materials and executive presentations.
  • Partner with Sales, Client Services, and Product teams to embed brand into go-to-market strategies.
 
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to track brand health, awareness, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Leverage analytics, market research, and client feedback to refine programs and identify opportunities for improvement.
 
Skills and Experience
 
  • 10+ years of progressive brand/marketing experience, ideally within financial services, fintech, or professional services.
  • Proven success in developing and executing brand strategies that drive measurable business impact.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of capital markets is an asset.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
  • Data-driven strategist who leverages insights and metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Proficiency with best-in-class marketing and analytics tools; ability to operationalize brand strategy through modern platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered marketing workflows; ability to leverage emerging technologies for content creation, campaign optimization, and brand measurement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA or relevant financial designation is an asset.
