Construction Site Superintendent - ICI

Seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to join our client's Vaughan based organization. Unique opportunity to join a company with a diversified background in industrial, commercial, institutional, retail and residential building. This individual will be responsible for the supervision of all construction activities that take place on the work sire ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency. 

About the Role

• Work closely with the project manager, consultants, trade contractors, inspectors and regulatory agencies to prepare and execute project plans 
  
• TTC OR hospital experience an asset 
  
• Supervise and direct all staff and sub trades assigned to project
  
• Ensure efficient use of labour, machinery and materials 
  
• Advise senior management of potential problem, any work interference or schedule difficulties while assisting the circumventing/ resolving such conflicts 
  
• Maintain the project's Daily Reports
  
• Ensure compliance with company's health and safety requirements and all record keeping requirements in maintaining a safe workplace 
  
• Ability to travel to site and off site locations as required
  

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

• Post-secondary education in construction related field is an asset
  
• Gold Seal Certified
  
• Experience with IHSA COR certification program 
  
• 10_+ years experience working as a construction site superintendent 
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  
• Solid computer skills required
  
• Must possess strong time management skills and be self-motivated
  
• Ability to work well under pressure
  
• Ability to work with people professionally at all times
