Corporate Training Specialist (Insurance) — Remote

Training opportunity in the insurance industry. Remote contract role focused on instructional design, online facilitation, and performance coaching. Ideal for candidates with strong content development skills, training delivery experience, and comfort with tools like Seismic Learning or Storyline. Bilingualism is a strong asset.

What is in it for you:

• Hourly salary of $25-27, based on experience.
• 11-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Weekday hours: 8 am to 4 pm or 9 am to 5 pm EST.
• Remote work across Canada.
• Quarterly on-site visits to the Waterloo office.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct training needs analysis to identify knowledge and performance gaps.
• Design and develop a wide range of learning assets including lesson plans, e-learning modules, instructional videos, and training presentations.
• Deliver live virtual training sessions to both new and experienced sales staff.
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and alignment with business priorities.
• Support onboarding through established training programs and provide performance feedback to trainees and their managers.
• Maintain and regularly update training documentation and assets to ensure relevance and accuracy.
• Manage LMS platforms, respond to training-related inquiries, and schedule sessions.
• Recommend enhancements to training programs and processes to improve effectiveness and learner engagement.
• Support special projects related to sales enablement and process training.

What you will need to succeed:

• Post-secondary education.
• Certified Adult Educator (preferred).
• 5+ years of related experience in a business environment, ideally within a bank or financial institution.
• 2+ years of experience in a training role.
• Proficiency with at least one instructional design tool (e.g., Seismic Learning, Storyline, Clipchamp, Canva).
• Experience designing and delivering online learning content for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex products and processes into engaging training materials.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities.
• Experience delivering 1:1 coaching and feedback.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Sense of curiosity, resourcefulness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Bilingual in English and French to deliver training, communicate with advisors, and support learners effectively in both official languages.
• Experience with Seismic Learning, Storyline, Clipchamp, and Canva (nice to have).
• Experience delivering sales skills training (nice to have).
• Exposure to process improvement or business operations training (nice to have).
