Location: Dryden Pool & Fitness CentreReports to:  Manager of Recreation  
Casual Relief: Scheduled shifts and relief as required.  Shifts may occur weekdays, weekends and/or evenings.    Union – IBEW Local 1730
Hourly Wage: $27.27 per hour with benefits as per the Employment Standards Act.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Recreation, provides quality customer service to the Dryden Pool and Fitness Centre patrons and public; handles cash; receives admission fees for the Pool and the Fitness Centre; answers phones; books facilities; accepts registrations and payments for programs; processes memberships; demonstrates good computer knowledge; monitors use of facility; maintains clean facility; acts as back-up to the Lifeguards in an emergency situation.
Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or working towards obtaining
  • Current First Aid CPR Level C certificate (or ability to obtain within three months)
  • Mature, responsible person with ability to work alone without direct guidance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and oral
  • One year previous experience in customer service, cash handling, and Microsoft applications
  • Ability to assist with emergencies in the water as back-up for the lifeguards
  • The successful applicant will be required to obtain and submit a clean criminal record check, at their own expense, prior to start date.
