The Director, Program Delivery (Insurance) helps deliver financial and risk management government programs for Ontario’s agriculture sector. They’re a vital part of the Program Delivery division, working alongside customer-oriented senior leaders, and they are responsible for championing a culture of customer service.

The Role

The Director, Program Delivery (Insurance), working with a team of managers, is responsible for providing senior leadership to Agricorp's customer care and underwriting departments ensuring effective and efficient implementation of Agricorp's programs and processes.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the holistic customer service experience through driving operational performance in the areas of customer care services and underwriting and account services
  • Collaborate with senior leaders in Program Delivery to review, assess and align priorities, resources and capacity to achieve organizational performance
  • Contributes to the development of strategic and operational priorities for the Program Delivery division with a focus on a culture of customer service
  • Resolves escalated customer concerns through an understanding of Agricorp's programs and services
  • Communicates priorities, risks and results to their team, Program Delivery division and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable the effective delivery of Agricorp's programs and services
  • Research and recommend forward-thinking approaches to effective program delivery
  • Oversee the administration of financial protection programs, in accordance with the appropriate legislation and regulations, in the capacity of Chief Inspector

      Job status: Permanent Full-time
      Salary: $123,092 – 144,813 
      Location: The successful candidate must live in Ontario to perform this role
      Work Status: Full time in office or hybrid work arrangements (minimum 3 days per week in office) offered

      Qualifications

      • Post-secondary degree in business administration, finance, commerce, agricultural business or related field, or equivalent experience
      • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in a customer-focused service environment (financial, insurance or public sector preferred)
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership capacity
      • Demonstrated experience in overseeing the holistic customer experience
      • Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing teams, including leading direct and indirect reporting relationships
      • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
      • Knowledge of Agricorp's programs and services and or experience in the public sector is an asset
      • Agricultural knowledge is an asset
      • A Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset
