Job Duties

  •  Review insurance assignments, repair orders, and quotes to determine repair costs and plan work to be done.
  •  Use a repair vs replacement philosophy when drafting all estimates.
  •  Train estimators to ensure compliance and profitability are achieved.
  •  Collaborate with the general manager and workshop managers to establish priorities and ensure compliance with insurance standards.
  •  Assist in receiving vehicles and preparing estimates compliant with insurance and workshop standards.
  •  Collaborate with production and parts managers to ensure production and profitability goals are met.
  •  Create repair estimates for customers following workshop and insurance company best practices.
  •  Take necessary damage photos according to workshop best practices.
  •  Actively seek value-added sales opportunities during vehicle inspection.
  •  Develop estimates focusing on projected gross margin while managing severity.
  •  Upload and update files for our insurance partners accurately and timely.
  •  Collaborate with liaison agents to ensure exceptional follow-up and service.
  •  Control vehicle production in collaboration with production and parts managers to ensure timely delivery.
  •  Review completed repairs to ensure all operations comply with workshop standards.
  •  Close repair order files and monitor professional performance in collaboration with production and parts managers to optimize profitability.
  •  Maintain comprehensive knowledge and compliance with company and department policies, procedures, and standards.
  •  Maintain a clean and orderly work area to comply with all health and safety procedures.
  •  Any reasonable request as instructed by your supervisor/manager.

 

Requirements

  •  High school diploma or college degree in automotive body repair.
  •  At least 10 years of automotive body repair experience in estimation and/or sales.
  •  Experience and proficiency with estimation systems (Mitchell Cloud Estimating & Connect and BMS (Mitchell RepairCenter)).
  •  Possess a valid driver's license.
  •  Proven leadership and track record of success.
  •  Ability to work independently in a highly active environment.
  •  Highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
  •  Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
  •  Ability to work under pressure.
  •  Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

 

 

Working Conditions

  •  Safety equipment will be required, e.g., steel-toed safety shoes, safety glasses, etc.
