HR Generalist (1 Year Contract) 

Thornhill, ON (In-office, with potential hybrid flexibility upon approval)

We are currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our team on a one (1) year contract at our Thornhill, Ontario location. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being hands-on in day-to-day operations and providing reliable support across core HR functions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, scheduling, and orientation. 

  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage data entry in HR systems. 

  • Assist with recruitment coordination, including posting roles and preparing offer letters. 

  • Provide general support with HR policy updates, employee file audits, and document tracking. 

  • Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, and procedures. 

  • Support benefit administration tasks and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information. 

  • Assist with policy rollouts, training logistics, and other routine HR projects. 

  • Provide administrative support to the HR Business Partner and wider team as needed. 

Qualifications: 

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field is an asset. Recent graduates from a recognized Human Resources Management program are welcome to apply. 

  • 1+ years of experience in an HR generalist or coordinator role is required.  

  • Strong attention to detail and experience with HR data entry. 

  • Familiarity with Canada-wide, or multi-provincial employment legislation is an asset. 

  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. 

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Assist with the preparation and follow-though of annual training, performance reviews and policies on an ad-hoc basis. 

  • Able to work as part of a team as well as independently with a customer-service mindset.
