The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor to managers of warehouse operations across multiple sites in the western Canada. The HRBP plays a key role in implementing best HR practices while ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws and regulations in each province. The HRBP collaborates with leaders to promote a positive work environment, support effective workforce management, and contribute to HR-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main HR point of contact for a portfolio of warehouse locations across several Canadian provinces.
  • Provide strategic and operational HR support to managers in all aspects of employee relations, performance management, and development.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with provincial labour laws (e.g., employment standards, health and safety, employment equity).
  • Manage or support disciplinary matters, internal investigations, and conflict resolution processes.
  • Maintaining health and safety storage standards and practices by managers.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members to align practices across different sites.
  • Monitor HR metrics (e.g., absenteeism, turnover, workplace climate) and recommend tailored action plans.
  • Support managers through organizational changes and workforce optimization initiatives.
  • Stay current on employment legislation across provinces and emerging HR trends and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience as an HR generalist or business partner, ideally in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and employment standards in various Canadian provinces (British-Colombia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba).
  • Experience in operational environments (warehousing, logistics, manufacturing) is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to different sites.
