Job Description

Our client is looking for a Java Application Developer who will be responsible for delivering Information Technology services. These include Infrastructure Management, Service Delivery Management and Application Management services.

Qualifications

Education

• University graduation, college diploma or certificate in business, management or a related discipline.

Requirements

• Experience in programming and analysis.
  

• Experience and advanced knowledge in programming in the J2EE environment using the Eclipse development tool.
  

• Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications.
  

• Experience in the design, development, implementation, and integration of large-scale, multi-tiered enterprise systems within an organization of equivalent complexity.
  

• Experience with designing and implementing high performance and scalable Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) solutions (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle).
  

• Experience with Oracle WebLogic and/or Application Server and IBM Info Server.
  

• Experience with IBM Rational Team Concert for managing service requests and planning releases.
  

• Experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL programming.
  

• Experience with TOAD and Apache Tomcat based applications.
  

• Experience with developing web based applications.
  

Desirables

• Knowledge of Tools such as JUnit and Apache Ant.
  

• Experience in Spring framework, Struts, JSF and Hibernate.
  

• Working knowledge of OpenText Livelink or Content Server Suite.
  

• Experience in J2EE Data modeling, relational data model mapping and code documentation.
  

• Experience in the use of information retrieval packages and query languages using SQL or Xpath.
  

• Experience with XML/XSLT to provide dynamic data transformation solutions.
  

• Experience with AJAX, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
  

• Experience developing custom reports for applications using technologies such as Oracle Reports or Oracle Discoverer.
  

• Experience assisting in the collection and documentation of user requirements.
  

• Experience creating and maintaining documentation.
  

• Detail oriented with excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to deal with situations where information is difficult to obtain, complex or ambiguous.
  

• Customer focus, client service skills, communication skills, both verbal and written.
  

• Ability to facilitate meetings and interviews, obtain information, and influence others.
