Media Shop Collective (MSC) is an internationally award-winning digital and design agency located in St. Albert, AB. We partner with businesses across Canada to deliver design, digital, and full-service marketing solutions.

We’re growing and looking for a Junior Designer to join our team. This is an opportunity to work directly on client projects, expand your portfolio, and grow into a senior creative role with mentorship from leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design graphics, visuals, and marketing assets for client projects.
  • Support the creative team with branding, website design, and layout work.
  • Assist with content shoots (photo + video capture, editing short-form content).
  • Create social media graphics, reels, and video content.
  • Implement SEO-friendly design practices (alt text, meta tags, on-page optimization).
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Creative Lead to bring concepts to life.

Must Haves (Non-Negotiable)
  • A 4-year degree in Design, Visual Communications, or related field (educated in Canada or the US).
  • Knowledge of WordPress/Squarespace or web design basics.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing branding, digital, and social design skills.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
  • Ability to balance creativity with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must live in the Edmonton area and work in the St. Albert office 4 days per week (WFH Fridays).
  • Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident (no sponsorship available).
  • Collaborative mindset — thrives working with a team.

  • Basic video editing skills (Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar).
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices.
