behalf of our Client, we are seeking a Junior/Intermediate Mechanical Revit
Designer to contribute to the design and drafting of mechanical systems for
commercial buildings. Developing designs including HVAC, plumbing and Fire. This
role requires proficiency in Revit, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for
developing high-quality, functional designs that align with project goals.
Requirements
Key
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to
develop mechanical designs, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
systems, for commercial and mixed-use buildings.
- Create and modify detailed 3D Revit models and 2D
drawings based on engineering designs and project specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards,
and best practices.
- Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, and
electrical disciplines to identify and resolve potential clashes or conflicts.
- Perform quantity take-offs and assist in preparing
schedules and material specifications.
- Support project documentation, including maintaining
drawing records and adhering to project delivery timelines.
- Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and site
visits as required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting
Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, focusing
on commercial building systems.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential; experience
with AutoCAD is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire
protection systems in commercial applications
- Familiarity with Canadian building codes and
standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a
proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
deadlines effectively.
Preferred
Skills:
- Experience with energy modeling software or
sustainability-focused projects is an asset.
- Familiarity with mechanical system design in mixed-use
or high-rise buildings.
- LEED certification or commitment to sustainable design
principles is a plus.
