Job Title: Learning Experience Designer 
Reports to: Learning and Curriculum Director
Location: Remote/Hybrid/Onsite
Salary: $60,000
Term: This is a temporary 1.5 year contract covering a maternity leave. If the leave ends early, we will provide at least two weeks’ notice. Contract extensions may be discussed if needed.

Job Summary: 
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning Experience Designer to design and develop educational content for K-12 students across Canada. This role requires a focus on creating inclusive, engaging learning experiences and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. If you are a creative educator with a knack for curriculum design and a desire to make a meaningful impact in Canadian education, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop educational content for K-12 students across Canada based on provincial and territorial curricula
  • Have experience designing curriculum-mapped educational content
  • Strong familiarity with Ontario, Nunavut,  Alberta, and/or B.C.’s curriculum
  • Write clear and measurable learning objectives, and align teaching materials to the learning objectives
  • Have a firm understanding of curriculum writing and curriculum review processes
  • Have a firm knowledge of assessment practices and can adapt educational content based on assessment outcomes
  • Use educational technologies to deliver quality and engaging learning experiences
  • Able to use UDL (Universal Design for Learning) to accommodate diverse learning styles
  •  Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to refine content based on feedback
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to work on special projects and assignments

Attributes and Qualifications: 
Equal consideration will be given to non-academic skills and experiences of candidates.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a similar field, Masters is an asset
  • A valid teaching license from either Ontario, Alberta, or B.C. will be considered an asset. 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time teaching experience in K-12 schools
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and manage schedules
  • Strong knowledge of Pedagogical Principles and STEAM education

Ampere prioritizes the safety of our employees and the community members we work with, because of this we may require both new hires and current team members to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
