The Opportunity
Join the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, UNSW, as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Teaching and Research role. In this role, you will lead the development of an internationally recognised aerospace engineering research program in the fields of flight mechanics, aircraft systems, fluid dynamics, unmanned aerial vehicles, or other closely related areas while making a significant contribution to the educational programs of the School and Faculty. You will also play a key role in maintaining and building strong industry partnerships, fostering collaborations that drive impactful research and innovative advancements in aerospace engineering.
We are seeking a candidate with a proven research background and excellent educational experience in advanced aerospace systems. To be suitable for this role you will have an experimental background in wind tunnels, laser/PIV facilities, aerospace structures manufacturing, and testing expertise. Additionally, cross-cutting research experience across manufacturing (e.g., aero structures), robotics (e.g., drones), thermofluids (e.g., wind turbines), or other related fields is highly desirable.
