BKOM Studios is looking for a Level Designer who is ready to take on new challenges ! In this role, you will collaborate with a skilled team to design and build environments that will challenge andΒ  delight players around the world !Β 




  • Lead the way in pitching, building, scripting and iterating on adventure levels;
  • Plan, create and iterate on levels, bringing storylines to life by placing rooms, paths, obstacles, interactive elements and encounters;
  • Work within established story frameworks and identify key areas for innovation;
  • Collaborate with art, narrative and the gameplay team to deliver excellent adventure and combat experiences in terms of pacing and challenge;
  • Establish gameplay patterns that are compelling & expandable and work for single player and co-operative gameplay;
  • Design features that facilitate creative gameplay encounters throughout each level;
  • Create and maintain design documents that clearly communicate vision and goals for levels;
  • Establish optimal iterative workflows and balance ambitious ideas with production constraints;
  • Gather and analyze feedback from within the team and externally to iterate smartly;
  • Identify problems and develop scope-sensitive or preventative solutions.


Profil


  • At least 5 years experience as a level designer or in a similar role;
  • Have worked on and shipped multiple games in a level design role (experience with mission design and combat is a plus);Β 
  • Have a strong experience with Unreal engine (Unity is a plus);
  • Are comfortable and experienced with building level layouts in 3D editors;
  • Have a strong sense of what makes a level (and the game) fun to play;
  • Can clearly communicate designs and missions, both in writing and verbally;
  • Are able to script and integrate all of the interactive elements required to build a level;
  • Can collaborate and guide a team in executing on your vision for a level;
  • Have a strong understanding of game design principles and theory;
  • Are creative, imaginative and original;
  • Are able to accept and provide direction;
  • Are keen to grow as a designer, soliciting performance feedback to act upon;
  • Possess the analytical skills to understand what makes great game experiences.
