Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Peace River, AB
Position Summary: The purpose of the Maintenance Technician position is to perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Install, service and maintain production equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on production equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
- Lubricates all moving parts of equipment in the plant processing circuit. This includes greasing conveyor belt rollers and pulleys, oiling gear drives and bearings, changing oil in conveyor gear boxes and speed reducers, greasing pumps, screens and electrical motors in accordance with lubrication schedules and OEM specifications.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to management.
- Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Communicating with the production team on maintenance related activities.
- Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
- Cross-train in other positions as needed.
- Promote a positive company image during the course and scope of the performance of these duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- At least 2 year of previous work history in a maintenance position, preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
- Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply written procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work well on a team.
- Valid driver’s license, required.

Nice to Have:
- First Aid & H2S certifications are not required but are considered an asset
- Previous exposure to oilfield equipment and maintenance.
- Exposure to automation or PLC controlled components.
