Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced person to join our team in Canada as a Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the technical space and a proven track record of building and executing successful marketing programs that drive measurable results. This role requires a blend of strategic big picture thinking and hands-on execution, with the ability to lead and empower a small team while maintaining individual responsibilities.

 

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans that align with business objectives and support revenue goals.

  • Campaign Execution: Structure, launch, and optimize technical marketing campaigns, ensuring they are well-structured, meet deadlines, and deliver results.

  • Content & Messaging: Create compelling messaging and positioning for technical products and services, targeting engineering and IT leadership audiences.

  • Sales & Marketing Alignment: Collaborate closely with sales to drive lead generation, demand generation, and support overall revenue goals.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small marketing team of 3, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

  • Process & Structure: Organize marketing workflows and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Technical Marketing Expertise: Deep understanding of open-source ecosystems, Linux, and infrastructure-related marketing. Ability to translate technical value into clear and compelling messaging.

  • B2B Experience: Proven experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on lead generation and demand generation.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Leadership and Management Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a team, while also managing individual responsibilities.

  • Results-Oriented: Strong focus on delivering measurable results and achieving business objectives.
