About the Role:

The Practitioner Marketing Specialist reports to the Head of Marketing and is focused on building and retaining our healthcare practitioner audiences.The primary focus of this role is to conceive, build and optimize ecommerce marketing programs to engage, convert, and retain these practitioners. This role will create strategies and tactics, work collaboratively with other departments and with the rest of the marketing team.

The successful candidate will take the lead in marketing to our healthcare practitioner customers. This is the perfect opportunity to gain experience and showcase your skills through a variety of different marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate should be comfortable/experienced with professional and/or scientific copy to write for our practitioner audience.

This is the ideal role for someone who enjoys writing, analyzing data, creating engaging social media content, planning email campaigns, and managing design tasks - all while working with a group of nutrition nerds! You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit. A strong communicator and outgoing collaborator who thrives on problem-solving and can navigate a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will help drive marketing to our healthcare practitioner audience but also have the opportunity to work on our direct-to-consumer marketing alongside the rest of the marketing team.

Main tasks include:

  • Research, strategize, write, edit, and publish content for social media, email marketing, and website copy.
  • Create and execute omnichannel marketing campaigns
  • Develop and manage lead-nurturing email workflows.
  • Monitor social media channels and engage with followers to build a community.
  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent flow of engaging content.
  • Review and analyze data to inform your content creation strategy.
  • Provide creative direction for the graphics or imagery to our graphic designer.
  • Use task management and marketing tools including Basecamp, Figma, Slack, Mailchimp, Hubspot and Klayvio to create, document and communicate tasks.

Core Requirements:

  • Has at least 2-3 years of experience working in digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with campaign design and development for email.
  • Conceive, develop, AB test, and optimize omnichannel lifecycle marketing campaigns to convert, and retain users.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and analyzing campaign analytics and attribution using UTM parameters and GA4.
  • Strategically experiment with various messaging channels to determine the most effective methods for user engagement
  • Ensure all marketing and engagement activities are planned and communicated effectively, keeping the team aligned on ongoing and upcoming initiatives.
  • Use appropriate analytics to measure the effectiveness of outreach efforts and campaigns, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Versatile experience writing and editing marketing copy, social and web copy, and short and long form articles. You’ll be writing emails, social posts, web copy and more on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Work with closely with Customer Experience, Product, and Technology departments on multiple priorities and deadlines

Bonus Experience:

  • Big plus if you are into supplements, and geeking out about nutrition articles!
  • Basic image design skills with Canva, Photoshop or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing including SEO and SEM
  • Comfortable for being responsible for delivering projects on a deadline, and for juggling more than one project at a time.
  • Understanding of UX, web design, customer flow and web analysis.
*This role is considered Full-Time at 40 hours per week, although some part-time applicants may be considered. The typical working days are Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm PST. Please note this is an independent contractor position. This contract is a fixed term ending January 16, 2026.
Pay for this role will be based on experience, with an expected range between $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
