Job Description & Summary

The Premises Workplace Designer will be responsible for leading all Facility Capital improvement and National Business as Usual (BAU) initiatives under the direction of the National Facilities Director. They will work closely with the external Project Managers, designers, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of projects. The role involves significant technical expertise and design skills to enhance the company's infrastructure and property services.

The Premises Workplace Designer provides leadership and support to all PwC Facility Capital Improvement initiatives, including attending meetings with clients, gathering and analyzing information, and managing projects and risk mitigation throughout their entire lifecycle. The Premises Workplace Designer is responsible for preliminary design assistance and evaluation, estimating, scheduling, developing, and delivering project-related activities in a timely fashion by collaborating closely with clients, designers, vendors, and other internal department stakeholders.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of -

As a Premises Workplace Designer, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects and related activities, including creating detailed business cases and charters outlining project scope, benefits, impacts, costs, and timelines.
  • Develop design project deliverables to meet architectural and engineering standards, assist with national vendor contracts, and implement technology furniture, lighting, and flooring solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of project-related activities.
  • Provide technical leadership in design implementation and ensure all designs meet regulatory and safety standards.
  • Capture and manage key project documentation, such as business cases, project charters, and risk analyses.
  • Support capital improvement projects, including schematic design, construction administration, and project closeout.
  • Engage in professional development to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
  • Coach and provide guidance to direct reports, including training and performance evaluation.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve -

  • Proven experience in facilities, workplace design, and project management.
  • Technical expertise in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
  • A commitment to client service and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
  • Experience with safety regulations and quality standards in facility management.
  • An openness to learning new tools and adapting to evolving technology trends.
