In the position of Senior Analyst, Payroll within our Global Business Services team, you will take on a critical role in supporting payroll operations for Canada and assisting with the U.S. payroll process. You will collaborate closely with our external payroll vendor to ensure payroll services are delivered accurately, timely, and in compliance with legal and company requirements. You will help safeguard payroll data integrity, manage the flow of payroll inputs, and partner with stakeholders across the business to drive operational excellence.
Your contributions will support employee satisfaction and financial accuracy while also strengthening our partnership with payroll service providers. Additionally, you will assist with payroll accounting activities, support audits and reconciliations, and participate in payroll-related projects and improvements.
Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end payroll processing cycle for Canada, including data collection, validation, processing, and reconciliation, in partnership with an external payroll vendor.
Ensure compliance with federal and provincial legislation and company policies.
Serve as the Canadian Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME), interpreting legislative changes and providing guidance to HR and Finance team.
Support U.S Payroll operations as required
Collect, validate, and analyze payroll inputs including time and attendance, benefits, and compensation changes.
Perform payroll accounting reconciliations, audits, and reporting with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders
Prepare and deliver payroll reports and analysis for internal management and external regulatory requirements
Provide exceptional service to employees and stakeholders, resolving payroll inquiries promptly.
Collaborate with GBS, HR, and Finance teams on system testing, data integrity, and system integrations.
Support audit and compliance reviews, ensuring readiness and accuracy.
Provide backup coverage for other payroll operations as needed.
Perform company business in compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and procedures.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Canadian Payroll Association Certification, PCP designation
Certified Payroll Manager (CPM), is considered an asset
Experience, including # of years
Minimum 3-5 years of full-cycle Canadian payroll experience, preferably within a shared services (GBS/SSC/BPO) or multinational environment
Demonstrated expertise in multi-province payroll
Strong working knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, statutory deductions, and taxable benefits
Experience working with payroll vendors and payroll systems; familiarity with ERP systems.
Skills
Deep understanding of payroll controls, compliance, and audit accuracy
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to partner effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Language
Fluent in English, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally. Proficiency in French an asset.
