Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find a
talented and experienced Transportation Engineer to join their team. Our client is a rapidly
expanding firm with offices across the US and Canada, currently establishing a
Transportation practice within their Edmonton-area office. The office is
actively involved in planning, land development, and municipal infrastructure projects
throughout Alberta and other western provinces. The company is committed to

Responsibilities
Support and Growth:
- Assist in growing and
delivering the existing roads and highways business within Alberta and the
Western Canada Region.
- Collaborate with U.S.
Counterparts on transportation assignments.
Traffic Engineering:
- Develop Traffic Impact
Assessments, traffic modeling, traffic controls, intersection analysis, traffic
studies, signal timing, intelligent transportation systems, and design of
signing and pavement marking.
Proposal Preparation:
- Prepare proposal inputs
to generate new business from existing or prospective clients.
Project Collaboration:
- Collaborate with
project teams, including sub-consultants, during the planning, design, and
construction phases.
Client Interaction:
- Engage directly with
clients on transportation/traffic aspects of projects.
Professional
Development:
- Stay current with
industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in traffic
engineering.
Mentorship and
Training:
- Mentor and train new
transportation staff, providing technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in
Civil or Transportation Engineering.
- Experience in leading
and delivering traffic/transportation projects.
- Knowledge of design
standards (TAC, ITE, AASHTO, Edmonton Capital Region, Alberta Transportation,
Economic Corridor, Alberta MD’s, and Counties).
- Familiarity/proficiency
with traffic engineering software.
- Professional
Engineering designation (P.Eng. or P.L. Eng) required.
- Intermediate or senior
level experience in transportation/traffic engineering.
- Design and planning
experience in various transportation areas.
- Strong communication,
time management, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to collaborate
with multi-disciplinary and remote project teams.
- Strong writing skills
for preparing various written materials.
- Ability to manage
deadlines and handle multiple project assignments simultaneously.
- Valid Alberta Driver’s
Licence.
