About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Through ongoing exploration success, Island Gold District’s Mineral Reserves and Resources have continued to grow in size and quality. Primary Responsibilities:          

  • Assist Warehouse team with day-to-day operations as required.
  • Participate in summer projects including but not limited to reorganizing of the Warehouse.
  • Process returns to the Warehouse, both physically as well as electronically.
  • Daily truck run to Wawa with core samples and pick up mail and packages from local business as when required to cover for Warehouse Runner vacation
  • Assist warehouse team with receiving, issuing, and shipping of parts and materials
  • Assist with cycle counts
  • Operates forklift on a regular basis
  • Follows established policies and procedures related to receiving parts and materials and complies with established methodologies and quality standards
  • Practice good housekeeping always to ensure a safe and clean worksite.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • High-school Student
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must be able to operate forklifts or other equipment as required.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate
