Our client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, is seeking a Wills & Estates / Corporate Lawyer to join their dynamic and growing legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and client-focused lawyer with 2–5 years of experience to play a key role in delivering sophisticated legal solutions to a diverse clientele of individuals, families, and corporate entities.

About the Role:

As a valued member of the firm, you will advise clients on a wide range of estate planning and corporate matters. You will work alongside seasoned professionals in a collaborative environment, managing a varied caseload that includes both routine and complex, high-net-worth estates, family businesses, and corporate succession strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents for personal and corporate clients.

  • Advise corporate clients on succession planning, shareholder agreements, business continuity, and tax-efficient estate strategies.

  • Handle estate administration matters, including probate applications, executor support, and estate litigation guidance.

  • Support family-run businesses with succession planning and asset transfers.

  • Collaborate across departments (tax, real estate, litigation) to deliver integrated legal services.

  • Manage multiple client files with professionalism, confidentiality, and efficiency.

  • Conduct client consultations and provide ongoing legal advice on estate and corporate governance matters.

  • Prepare and negotiate legal documents related to corporate restructuring, charitable giving, and strategic estate planning.

  • Stay current on legal trends, including changes in tax law, estate planning legislation, and corporate governance practices.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience practicing in Wills & Estates law, with a strong focus on corporate law and estate planning.

  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

  • Strong knowledge of estate law, tax implications, corporate structures, and succession planning.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong drafting and analytical abilities.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain trusted client relationships.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.

  • A collaborative team player who can also take initiative and work independently.

  • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to high professional standards.
