We are seeking a Creative Designer (AKA Industrial Designer) who excels at transforming client ideas, sketches, and briefs into compelling concepts. You will play a pivotal role in understanding our clients' vision and driving projects toward successful outcomes, all while embracing our core values of teamwork, customer focus, and creative thinking.

This is a full-time, remote role with occasional travel to client or manufacturing sites as needed.

As a Creative Designer, you will:


  • Collaborate with Clients. You will collaborate with clients from the initial consultation to deliver a comprehensive understanding of their goals and project objectives. You will participate in client meetings and presentations, leveraging your retail design expertise to foster trust and clarity throughout the design process. You will engage in multiple iterations of design concepts, refining and aligning them with client feedback to achieve the final approved direction.


  • Develop Creative Designs. You will transform client inputs into innovative concepts through brainstorming sessions, sketching, and mood board creation. You will develop and present working sketches, rough 3D digital models, and polished presentations that align with brand aesthetics and project objectives.


  • Refine Solutions. You will work closely with Estimating and Procurement teams to ensure material and process selection emphasizes sustainability, durability, and cost-effectiveness. You will Create Design Intent packages that include essential projected views, annotations, and dimensions for client and engineering teams.


  • Support Prototyping Efforts. Support the Engineering team during the prototyping phase, maintaining a consulting role and presenting prototypes to clients.


You have:


  • The experience. You have a diploma or degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field. You have professional experience in creative design, with a strong portfolio showcasing design concepts, sketches, 3D models, and presentations. Familiarity with the retail industry is a plus.  


  • The technical skills. You are highly proficient in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Solidworks, Rhino, 3D Studio Max, and others. You have an understanding of sustainability principles and materials in design.


  • The creative skills. You have a passion for design and a keen eye for aesthetics, colour, texture, and spatial design. You have a proven ability to translate marketing briefs into effective and visually appealing designs.


  • The interpersonal skills. You possess exceptional communication skills, enabling you to effectively share your creative thought process with stakeholders and bring ideas to life. You are naturally curious and can channel your inquisitiveness into asking probing questions that build connections and understand business needs. You can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. You are highly coachable and committed to personal growth, continually seeking ways to enhance your skills and knowledge.

  • A virtual interview with the Director, Design and Development and the Manager, Design and Development.
  • An in-person or virtual interview with the VP, Global Growth & New Sales Development in Fixtures North America, the Head of New Business Development EMEA and HR Leader.
