Overview

$29.00 / hour 

 

This is a vacant position. Candidates must be currently employed with a regional Paramedic Service with a minimum of 1-year employment experience.

You’ll also… 

  • Provide primary health assessment and emergency first aid to ill or injured guests and associates 
  • Utilize a park vehicle and respond to dispatched first aid calls throughout the park 
  • Comply with Medical Directives, including protocols for administering symptom relief medications and use of 12-lead ECG 
  • Complete documentation of all treated individuals and conduct patient follow-up phone calls  
  • Provide WSIB information to associates as needed 
  • Coach Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) as needed in areas of documentation and patient assessment 
  • Provide equipment instruction/refresher training to EMRs as requested by Safety Manager/Supervisors  
  • Have other opportunities to learn and expand your knowledge

Qualifications

  • You! 
  • Current Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant (AEMCA) Paramedic Certification (will also consider nurses)
  • Current employment with a regional Paramedic Service with a minimum of 1-year employment experience  
  • An ability to work in a team atmosphere  
  • Candidates that have a valid Ontario Driver’s License (G or F) with a clean driver's abstract 
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends. Must be available to work a minimum of 5 shifts each month
