WHY DOES THIS POSITION EXIST IN CCO?
Catholic Christian Outreach is a young and dynamic Catholic movement dedicated to fulfilling the Church’s mission of evangelization on university campuses and beyond. The Finance & Properties Department plays a key role in establishing a strong foundation to support the fulfillment of this mission. The Finance Automation Lead will grow the capacity of the Finance team through the innovation and evolution of current processes to new industry best practices. This person will directly enable CCO to do more with less by fully utilizing automation, AI and digitization technologies, all in service of the Great Commission.

WHAT DOES THIS POSITION DO FOR CCO?
- Fully audit current financial practices identifying ways to make them more efficient and effective.
- Lead the implementation of automation and digitization tools within Blackbaud and other technologies (e.g., RPA, ERP modules, workflow automation).
- Research current evolutions and practices in the financial world, including the use of AI, reporting your findings
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to develop and implement digital solutions tailored to organizational needs.
- Create and maintain automated workflows for critical finance operations, such as accounts payable, donations, and payroll.
- Manage digitization and automation projects including developing documentation, guides, and training materials to support smooth adoption of digital processes.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the success and impact of automation and process improvements.
- Identify potential risks associated with digital transformation initiatives and develop mitigation strategies.
- Communicate effectively updates to processes to all key stakeholders (internal and external)
- All employees of CCO are required to participate in the mission of the New Evangelization within the Catholic Church and work toward the propagation of the Gospel. This includes taking the initiative to lead CCO Catholic Faith studies, share the kerygma (through tools like the Ultimate Relationship booklet), and/or participation in the evangelization efforts of CCO, including opportunities to participate in CCO Missions.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in finance operations, with at least 2 years focused on automation or process improvement.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to map and optimize complex processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in leading digital transformation projects in a finance environment.
- Proven expertise in implementing finance automation tools such as RPA (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere), ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), or workflow automation platforms
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements related to financial operations and automation.
- Strong project management skills, including experience with tools like Jira, Asana, or Trello.

- As a Responsibility Level 3 position the starting annual salary is $54,200.28 and is based on a 40 hour work week. Salaries increase with years of experience.
