Our client based out of Burnaby, BC, is looking for a Junior/Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for marine vessels, working under the guidance of Senior Electrical Engineer.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for marine vessels, including power generation and control systems.
Collaborate with Senior Electrical engineers and other team members to produce technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for electrical components and systems.
Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on marine vessels, both in the shipyard and during sea trials.
Provide technical support to other departments and external stakeholders as needed.
Assist in conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost estimates for electrical engineering projects regarding the vessels.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in marine electrical engineering.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
1-3 years of experience in Electrical engineering, preferably in the Marine or Maritime industry.
Basic knowledge of marine electrical systems, components, and equipment.
A Security Clearance Required:Eligible for clearance is a requirement for this position. Controlled Goods (5 Years in Canada)
