About the Role

This role provides critical day-to-day support to the Livestock Supervisor across both stockyard and farm operations. As a Livestock Stockman/Farmhand, you'll assist with handling and monitoring cattle, maintaining infrastructure, feeding routines, and general property upkeep. It’s a hands-on position suited to someone with practical cattle experience and a commitment to animal welfare, safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle, move, and draft cattle safely in yard environments
  • Monitor cattle health and report issues to the supervisor
  • Support feeding routines and infrastructure maintenance
  • Operate equipment including tractors and side-by-sides
  • Maintain paddocks, fences, and follow safety procedures


Skills And Experiences

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of livestock experience (yard work preferred)
  • Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare practices
  • Ability to work in physically demanding, outdoor conditions
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Experience with MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow safety and biosecurity procedures
