About The Role
The Manager, Global Logistics is responsible for overseeing and optimizing Altasciences global supply chain, inventory management, and logistics operations on a global scale.

Ensure seamless coordination and efficiency across our international operations while maintaining cost-effectiveness and meeting customer demands.


What You'll Do Here

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain ensuring smooth movement of goods from sites to customers.

  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, assist in contract negotiations, establish relationships with partner-vendors to improve cost, quality and lead times.

  • Identify potential risks in supply chain and implement risk mitigation plans to ensure continuity of operations.

  • Manage transportation and distribution strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to clients and third-party labs.

  • Coordinate with transport suppliers and brokers to streamline import/export processes as well as compliance with international trade regulations.

  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs where possible.

  • Use data analytics tools to analyze key performance metrics and make data driven decisions to optimize inventory and supply chain management.

  • Generate regular reports to present to senior managers at the sites.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance logistics and inventory processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Stay updates on industry trends technologies and best practices to ensure the department remains at forefront of logistics and inventory management excellence.

  • Coaches, mentors, and manages direct reports (technical employees, QC and supervisors).

  • Direct supervision of Site logistics and inventory teams.

  • Ensures high quality services to all clients internal and external.

  • Writes and/or reviews SOPs, user guides and training documents.

  • Leads the implementation of new projects or initiatives.

  • Identify solutions and improves services based on stakeholder feedbacks.

  • Approves employee time sheets.

  • Performs annual employee performance reviews.

  • Conducts all work in compliance with applicable SOPs, GCPs, GLPs,

  • Performs interviews, hire and evaluate new employees.

  • Promotes employee professional development plan and growth.

  • Responds to QA findings and implements CAPA following a QI.

  • Travel to Altasciences sites as required.


What You'll Need to Succeed

  • 5 years’ experience in logistics and/or inventory management roles.

  • College degree or higher.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), bilingualism is mandatory (French & English).

  • Analytical thinking.

  • Client services approach and mindset (internal and external).

  • Experience working with an ERP (Dayforce, Workday, SAP…).

  • Ability to work well with others.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong work ethics.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Problem solving and risk mitigation skills.

  • Diplomatic Leadership.

  • Attention to details.
