Reporting to the Director, Brand & Engagement, the Marketing and Communications Co-op Student will be involved in supporting the Clark Builders brand both internally and externally. This will be an 8 or 12-month work term starting in September 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and analysis on identified initiatives and emerging markets.
  • Gather and analyze research findings to provide input into sales strategies and marketing recommendations such as speaking, advertising opportunities and award submissions.
  • Assist with Salesforce lead management maintenance and improvement.
  • Support team with the development of custom marketing collateral and tailor existing templates.
  • Assist in profiling our hero projects through the development of case studies and thought leadership pieces.
  • Develop high-quality social media content including copywriting and creative.
  • Create and update material for the corporate website, marketing campaigns, collateral, and the internal company intranet (CBNet).

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong oral and written English communication skills are mandatory.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative approach and strong facilitator who can work well on a team as well as tackle projects independently.
  • Ability to connect with various stakeholders in the business in an outgoing and engaging manner—from senior leaders to field workers on site.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Software (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and HubSpot is an asset.
  • B2B social media experience is desirable.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Currently registered in a bachelor’s degree or similar in Marketing, Design, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience with design and creative creation and editing is mandatory
  • Experience performing market research and analyses is desirable
  • Experience in technical writing is an asset
  • Understanding of stakeholder sensitivities and best practices in data protection
