About the Opportunity:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Web Developer based in Vancouver. The Web Developer will collaborate with our Marketing team to design, build, and maintain complex, multilingual global websites. The primary focus of this role will be developing custom WordPress solutions and delivering full-stack CMS-driven marketing projects that support our international digital presence. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse, collaborative team.

NOTE: This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to work a minimum of 2 days per week in our Vancouver office.

Specific accountabilities include:

• Building, modifying, and maintaining websites and web components from scratch using WordPress, PHP (OO), and modern frameworks.
• Creating custom WordPress themes and plugins using best practices.
  
• Maintaining website security best practices and performance optimization.
• Managing code versioning using Git and deploying via SSH/SFTP.
• Working with CI/CD pipelines and Docker containers/images.
• Troubleshooting and resolving website issues; supporting off-hours when necessary for critical problems.
• Implementing and managing DNS, SSL certificates, and server configurations (NGINX, Apache, IIS).
• Participating in team planning, code reviews, documentation, and internal reporting. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including global Marketing, DevOps, and IT.
• Supporting UX and graphics teams by providing development recommendations.
• Coordinating with outsourced agencies and translation teams to ensure content is implemented correctly.
  

 About You:

• You have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
• You have 3–5 years of experience as a Web Developer in a similar environment.
  
• You’ve built WordPress sites from scratch and are familiar with boilerplates like Bedrock or Wordplate. 
• You’re highly proficient in PHP OO, WordPress, MySQL, HTML, Twig, CSS/SCSS/SASS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, VueJS, and JSON.
• You have experience with tools like WPCLI, ViteJS, Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack.
• You understand SEO, site geo-direct functionality, and site analytics.
• You’ve worked with both Windows and Linux-based web servers.
  
• You can analyze and prioritize tasks, write clear documentation, and maintain consistent code quality.
  
• You work well across teams and cultures and can clearly communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 annually + bonus (The actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity).
